When I was a 25-year-old high school English teacher, I bought my first home in Tacoma, Washington. I can still feel the pride and excitement that washed over me as I stepped into my own space for the first time. At the time, I didn't know what I was missing and I assumed this was just how things worked with mortgage lenders.

After a decade in public education, I transitioned into the mortgage industry, driven by a desire to continue empowering and educating others. I always kept the memory of my own home-buying experience in mind. Helping people buy their first home, their dream home, or an investment property is an honor I don't take lightly. I remember what it was like to feel overwhelmed, unsure of the right questions to ask or how to navigate the process.
